The MFX Limited End to End Walk takes place in the Isle of Man on Saturday 15th September 2024. The race starts bright and early at the most northerly tip of the Island at the Point of Ayre Lighthouse at 8.00am. Taking a southerly route down the west coast of the Island you’ll experience the quiet Manx back roads with gentle undulating hills, beautiful scenery, and possible sightings of our neighbours in Eire only a few miles across the Irish Sea. The route to Peel, the Finish Point for the Under 20’s race, is 22.1 miles and is thought of as the half way point for the full race. From Peel the route south to the Sound is a tough challenge for already tired legs with some tough hills still to negotiate. Those who make it up the incline from Dalby to the top of the Sloc are rewarded with arguably the best view of the Southern half of the Isle of Man, assuming the weather is being kind. The descent down the Sloc Road is to be enjoyed before the final ascent up the Howe Road on the way to the finish at the Sound which must be before 6.30pm. Timed cut off points are set on the route which must be adhered to. The entire course measures 39.22 miles and uses sealed road surface. The race is a category B Race walk and will be judged. The total race time is 10 hours 30 mins which is a tough but achievable challenge. All competitors receive a certificate showing their result on the day and finishers are all presented with a bespoke dated finishers medal.

Race registration: Friday 13th September, 5pm to 8pm at the Harriers Club House at the National Sports Centre, Douglas
Race day: Sunday 15th September 2024.
Race Start: 8.00am. Race finish 6.30pm.
Race distance: 39.22 miles.
Prize presentation: Wednesday 18th September from 7pm at Vagabonds Rugby Club with complimentary buffet.
Minibus transport to the race start is available for £10 from Douglas, Peel or South, pre booking only.
Support crews allowed.
11 water stations on route.
Complimentary cap or recycled race t-shirt for competitors.

Getting to the Isle of Man.
Three choices. Fly. Ferry. Swim.
Flights: There are daily flights to and from the Island using either EasyJet or Loganair. Routes can be found from Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London City, Jersey, Bristol and Edinburgh airports. There are also some EasyJet flights from Belfast International plus some flights from Dublin using Emerald Airlines.
Ferry: The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is the local ferry service and operates daily routes from Heysham (by Lancaster) or Liverpool.
Swim: chilly and definitely not recommended.
